This course will guide the dental clinician through the process of evidence-based instrumentation choice, focusing on available materials and techniques used in practice. 

The course will touch on specialized instrumentation for completing routine care for patients with orthodontics and implants present.

Learning Objectives:

  • ·        Discuss available instrumentation materials in preventive care.
  • ·        Review instrumentation grasp and stroke sequences when using stainless steel instruments.
  • ·        Define and demonstrate technique modifications for the use of XP sharpen-free technology.
  • ·        Discuss specialized instrument choice for completing routine care for implant and orthodontic patients.
  • This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of Zoom Education, LLC and Young Dental.  Zoom Education, LLC is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.
